Hibernating...... and thinking mode on.

Bismillah

Yes, I have been away & Hibernating since last year till now.

The inspiration to write & share really really takes time for the heart & mind to build together.

So, in shaa Allah, with the intention to share this for the sake of Allah SWT, may we get His blessing & may Allah redha with our doings.

Life is like a heart beat, it goes up & down, just like a  trip on the hills.

There is once in life we are at the peak of our happiness, and there is once in life we are down deep like in the bottom of the sea.

But nevertheless, apart from being high up there & low down there, the lesson learnt from it is to always be GRATEFUL.

I bumped into these 4 "S"s :

1. Solat
2. Syukur
3. Sabr
4. Sayang

They are simple words but the meanings are so Masha Allah!

Allah SWT says in the Quran,

"In order that you may not be sad over matters that you fail to get, nor rejoice because of that which has been given to you. And Allah likes not prideful boasters."
Surah Al-Hadid, verse 23

So when happiness come upon us or sadness befall us, we just have to stay GRATEFUL & grateful with those moments.

So, after every Solat, we have to remain Syukur to Him for giving us the opportunity to prostrate before Him & be showered by His blessings.
To stay Sabr whenever calamity falls upon us, because Allah loves His slaves who are in state of Sabr.

And lastly, to have Sayang (Love).
Love for Allah,
Love for Rasulullah saw,
Love for the Quran,
Love for our Family,
Love for our Children,
Love for Ourself.

With Sayang, our heart remains calm & at ease.

May Allah remind us of Him & of Rasulullah saw and guide our hearts to His way.

Amin.

Learning is to Play!

Salam all!

Phew! We been very busy over the weekend, and busy is good! Alhamdullilah.

I was preparing for our weekend monthly Islamic Playkids session with my fellow teachers & beloved Ustazah Su'aidah.

In the midst of the preparations, I was thinking, why don't we play with REAL things instead of toys.
So, I dig out some of the recyclable stuffs at home, and found some useful things that can be use.

Here, I got the milk scoops & egg carton, and turn them into a "matching arabic numbers game"!
*Our egg carton is kind of small, so ping pong balls can't fit into it nicely. Lucky for the milk scoops. hehe!*

The Ilham just strike at that moment, all thanks to HIM! :)
Diy Matching Arabic Numbers game
Then, with empty snacks containers, I wrapped them up by using a printed wrapper from
Filled the containers with small stones which mr Fai keeps it for his little fish friends...
and there you go!
The "Diy SHAKERS"!
 Then came Saturdate!
recycled toys
We had Pasta Play with the REAL kitchen utensils!
*yikes! looks like an all girls party. teeehee!*

The kids were having so much fun with the pasta play & recycled toys that no one came by to say "Hello" to the books.. hehe!

Close to Nature....

Bismillah...

The attempt of getting the kids to wake up early was a failure.. hehe!
And looking at the weather on a cloudy wed morning, I thought that it gonna rain & I have to cancel the outdoor trip for the gals that day.
But Allah is the Best Planner. :)
At half past 8, when I saw the sneak peek of the sun, woke the gals up & prepare a quick breakfast!

And off we go to Bukit Batok Nature Park!
The intention to go to the park is to get the gals appreciate the nature & His creations.
I guess we had too much of man's creations surrounding us - living in the concrete jungle here.

So after a long walk up & down the hills *which actually there's a short cut to the pond, heheh!*, we sat just next to the Pond Plaza & had our breakfast there! We talked about Allah's creations like the Trees, Rocks, Hills, Water, Insects, Birds & once the gals start talking, they never stop... *right?* hehe!
To just sit & look at your surroundings with all His creations, the feeling was Masha Allah!
And yah, while busy checking out the nature, a little friend came by.
Here is Mr Bulu-bulu Caterpillar - thats what Airyn called it. ;)

There is a playground with sand play area, just like an old-school playgrounds in the 90s.

There's a stream which came from the pond.
And I brought the gals to wash their hands & feet at the stream. It was fun! The typical way, we will go to the sink & do our washing, but this time round, it was a different fun experience!

We talked about water, who created it, how it was form & where it came from...
Shaleez simply loves the beauty of how water was form. Alhamdullilah.

Before we leave, we got to say bye-bye to the birds, which i can say they were quite tame. The birds were hoping for some food to be thrown at them. Sorry birds, next time perhaps. :/
Feel like we are at the Jurong Bird Park too. Hehehe!
Heres the overview of the park! West-siders, do check the park out!
A fun & free trip with lotsa adventure & cool exploring stuffs for our little explorers!
Have fun, getting close to the nature, getting close to Him. :)

To end it off, I got my 5yo to do a little work after the visit. *trying to teach her how to read & get to know more words too*
What did we see?
So heres her write up.... ;)

Simply print it out & i laminated it so it can last longer *hopefully...hehe!*
I got the puzzles from Umm An-Nu'man blog under Islamic Studies mini books (Prek) and my gals love them!
Its good for a "before bedtime activity", just a quiet moment before getting them to bed.
And the one which my little one is trying to figure out, hehe, is learning about the 5 Pillars of Islam which i got it from this blog . I know its not in english but by just looking at the pictures & the resources, you gonna love it!

When we start, we should not stop....

I am preparing for my 5 yo daughter with her P1 education entry test which will be in late march next year, in shaa Allah. Gosh! My mind is all over, in which where to start, what to do, where to find..
Being a mom you are constantly thinking about stuffs 24/7.. round the clock.

I love scrolling Pinterest so so much!! *better than FB & stuffs.. u know what i mean, hehe*
The information that i can get at Pinterest is wow! Masha Allah!
In terms of what to cook for the family, what the kids can do with indoor activities & the list goes on & on & on... *it would take hundreds of pages for me to list it down.. gee!*

So i bumped into these 2 Masha Allah mommies, whom are so dedicated being a mom!
I am so motivated with their ways & their thoughts! They inspired me a lot & that makes me want to do more things with my kids.

So here they are sis Noor Janan & sis Umm An-Nu’maan ! Do take your time to read at their blogs coz they REALLY have useful tips & resources for the kids & even ourselves to learn & relearn about our deen. May Allah grant them all the blessings & redha with their doings.

I applied some of the resources to my 5 yo daughter, Masha Allah! She loves doing the activities!
I love to share, coz I care.

First & foremost.....

This blog is created because of His will & lets pray to Him that whatever we do in this life, will be redha and bless by Allah swt, and all these doings are just for the sake of Allah.

Bismillah.

Fitrah.

We are given a plain white cloth & knowledge to either paint it beautifully or not. The choice that we made is very important.
The choice of the parents, lead to how we mould their character & oneself.
Make the wise choice, the choice that lead back to Him.
Because we need to remember, we came from Him, and we go back to Him.

Lets hope that we will get the barakah & blessings from Allah swt in doing things just for His sake.
May Allah gives us the strength  to go through the trials & challenges that He has given upon us.
Amin ya'Rabbal alamin.
